An excellent experience. The staff were professional and friendly, the food was delicious, and the ambiance was exquisite! Also, the water pressure in the shower was on point and their wine and whiskey lists were respectable. There is a spa, hikes, and several recreational activities on site. There is a gym, but it is not open early or late and has limited equipment (no free weights, limited cardio machines) A few minor areas of complaint. The bed was a European King, that is 2 double beds pushed together... Some of the information on that online was unclear (mostly from third party sites). Also the bed was not as comfortable as I'd expect for a luxury hotel. Additionally, be aware that the island is fairly isolated... There is taxi service to Oban, but it is best to reserve 24 hours in advance. We loved the intimacy of an isolated estate, but it does make a night on the town a bit more involved. Overall a great location for luxe accomodations!

If you're looking to escape, to walk with no one around, to be wowed by the spectacular scenery of the West Coast then this is your place. Isle of Eriska is magical. The main house is kind of grand, old fashioned with super comfortable sofas, fire places and spacious country house style bedrooms - four poster bed in ours - plus welcoming and attentive staff. Delicious locally sourced food and well stocked proper bar. We loved the loved the croquet lawn and that GnT's were delivered to us pre-play! Our perfectly behaved dog was welcomed too which is always such a bonus. If you're looking for five star luxury then you wont be impressed by the golf range, putting green or spa facilities or some of the outside accommodation, all are tired but will be refurbed in the next couple of years, so we were told. But that's not why we were here. Loved our stay - amazing surroundings, old world charm and wonderful staff. This place is a real treat. Thank you Isle of Eriska. We will be back ,

Isle of Eriska Hotel is beyond amazing! We felt like we were in one of the most beautiful spots in the world. The dining experience at the restaurant was perfect. The staff took excellent care of us and we enjoyed walking around the beautiful island and hearing the gentle waves. A truly lovely place.

We got a special offer with 2 nights 1/2 price but you have to have dinner as well. The hotel is lovely and old fashioned with nice fireplaces. Bedrooms are nice and quiet. Food was delicious. We spent the whole day exploring the island. Wear appropriate footwear as it is very muddy. If you walk towards Otter point but then follow a path to the right you will find a bench. Sit there and you may see otters on the islands in front of you. We saw 2 at the point (1) and 1 next to the weather monitor (2). We then walked left and on the other island (3) we saw 2 sea eagles. They then flew off, after a long time, to follow a boat. They may get fed by this boat and if so will be on that island every day around 11.30am (maybe 12?) Our dog loved exploring the new smells too. Had a lovely time.

Described as "dog friendly" - more like begrudgingly dog tolerant as dogs not allowed anywhere on site outside your room, you are also not allowed to leave them inside the room so what you are meant to do with them I do not know. No housekeeping during our stay in this "five star" hotel, yet they attempted to charge a £100 cleaning fee for the dog on checkout. Spa facilities tired and very small, the jacuzzi was uncomfortably crowded with just three people in it. We were given an attic room which was extremely hot during our summer weekend stay and therefore slept poorly (room temperature 25 degrees by 7am in the morning). The staff are pleasant and the hotel/grounds are lovely. It's not a particularly authentic Scottish experience however as almost everything within the hotel seems to be imported from England or Europe. Was served eggs Balmoral at breakfast when ordered eggs Highland - not sure whether ignorance or error as eggs Highland isn't really a known dish. Overall do not recommend at all - for the price there are plenty of other lovely hotel spas around the Argyll area.

Great service, pretty gardens and lovely reception areas. If solitude is your thing then this is perfect, however it's a bit far from town for my liking. Free coffee for tour guides👍

Pros: Really beautiful hotel and surrounding area. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Shout out to Liz, Struan & Kristy for their impeccable service. Rooms comfortable and very clean. Breakfast good. Cons: restaurant menu limited and VERY expensive. Our meal was just ok. For the prices charges you would expect so much more. We ordered the steak. Decent size and cooked to liking however 6 chips and a quarter of little gem lettuce let it down.

Stayed here before in 2021 and dinner was outstanding. Dinner this time was just OK and overpriced for what it was. Limited a la carte selection and charging 7 pounds for bread? Previous Michelin star chef departed along with his star in 2022. Breakfast was very good as was the service and the staff. Great location and good facilities. Will be back.
